paleidimo diskas statusas T sritis informatika apibrėžtis Diskas, iš kurio įjungus kompiuterį įkeliama ir paleidžiama operacinė sistema. Jo ↑paleidimo sektoriuje būna įrašyta operacinės sistemos paleidimo programos pradžia (visų kitų diskų tame sektoriuje būna įrašytas pranešimas, informuojantis, kad šis diskas nesisteminis ir jį reikia pakeisti kitu). Kai įjungiamas kompiuteris, jo ↑BIOS sistema ima šio disko ieškoti pagal sąrankoje nurodytą diskų (laikmenų) eilę ir, radusi pirmą diską, skaito jame esantį ↑paleidimo sektorių. Jeigu šis diskas yra iš tikro paleidimo diskas, tai paleidžiama tame sektoriuje esanti programa, kuri įkelia ir paleidžia sistemą.
